If there is a case for domestic abuse, does the case need to be first finalised before a divorce is filed in?
Could someone please clarify for me as I have been given mixed information. If there is a case for domestic abuse. Does the case need to be first finalised before a divorce is filed in? Also, is it true that it first has to be filed for separation has to be separated for 1 year and only then of both parties agree a divorce can take place? Or if one party does not agree then you have to wait another year before the court approves the divorce?
