Is it just for an employer to only pay SSP if they are telling an employee they cannot work due to Covid-19?
Hello. I work in a school. We have received an updated Covid-19 policy following the PMs most recent announcement. So: we HAVE to stay away from work for five days if we test positive, which is in line with guidelines but not the law. However, the policy states we will only be paid SSP. Is this just? If an employer is telling you that you cannot work, surely they should pay you? Thanks
