I have had a notice of a first appoinment for divorce ...is it normal to get notice of intention to proceed with a finiacial application in same time. Our final hearing for children access is june 2022

Solicitor (no longer in practice). Yes, it's normal practice. The first appointment has been fixed as a result of your ex issuing a notice of intention to proceed with a financial application. Directions will be given for that application at the first appointment. The divorce itself proceeds separately to the financial application and the children application
