Is the landlord allowed to change the date on the notice to leave from 31/12/21 to 11/12/21, given that the original notice was served via email?
Hi, just after some general advise please! We are currently renting a property from a member of family. We have no official tennancy documentation nor did we pay a deposit when we moved. She served us notice on 31/8/21 - 4 months notice under current Covid guidelines with a final date at the property of 31/12/21. I then received a further letter from her last week stating that as government guidelines had changed, she is re serving notice and reducing the time she gave us, so we now have 3 weeks less time with a final date in the property of the 11/12/21. Is she able to do this? I received an email from her the first time serving notice and the second time an 6A form? That is all I have received. Any advice would be massively appreciated!! X
