Is there anything that can be done if a tenant has provided bank statements and confirmation of payments from the bank to the estate agent, but the estate agent is saying the tenant still owes rent?
Good Afternoon. Wondering if someone if can help, we was serviced a section 21 as we was in breathing space so couldn't be served a section 8. We was told it's because we owe 6k in rent. Which we don't, we was paying late. due date was on the 12th and we pay on the 30th. This was agreed as we was trying to pay extra to bring us a month ahead. Anyway, we provided bank statements to show we was paying and even had the bank confirm the payments was recived. The estate agents are saying that we have to pay the full 6k by the 30th of this month as they can't find the money. Is there anything we can do?

NQ - get the bank to investigate the location of the funds. They can do this internally and provide some answers.

NQ also contact the landlord directly I can bet they have no clue whats going on. If they are on your side the estate agent will have to back off

NQ - landlord - did the agency notify you at the start of the alleged arrears? Have you sent them proof of payment? Who is the section 21 from?? Contact your landlord and send them proof of payments.
