Is there anything the original poster can do about their non-refundable hotel booking in Liverpool, now that they have found out that the hotel is a dump?
Hi all. Any help would be appreciated. We have arranged my hen party in Liverpool. There are 20 of us going. We booked a quirky hotel to stay and chose the non refundable option as it was obviously cheaper via an online booking company. The reviews on there looked great. Since then we have done more research and omg the place is a disgrace! There are no doors on the toilets, the showers and toilets are communal, there’s faeces on the floor, windows smashed just generally looks an absolute dump. I have asked to cancel direct with the hotel and offered that they keep 20% to cover the price we would have paid if we paid the free cancellation fee but they will not budge. I have contacted my credit card and they can’t help either. Do I have any other options?? I’m dreading telling the older lot that they may have to go out of their room in the middle of the night to a communal toilet 😢. Thanks

NQ. Nothing you can do. Booking is non refundable. Credit card provider won’t help because technically speaking hotel have not provided a service your choosing not to go

NQ unfortunately it’s non refundable so they are under no obligation to pay you anything sorry

NQ. I'm so intrigued to know what hotel this is 🙈 But unfortunately if its non refundable and they've not canceled then you won't get anything back. However if they were to cancel you would get your money back. So if its as bad as you say I would contact the health department ASAP & get them inspected, they may get closed down 🤷‍♀️
