Submitted divorce petition my estranged husband has decided to defend it but hasn’t responded and started his own proceedings in the time frame given - what happens now?

Solicitor (no longer in practice). If the 28 day period has elapsed, you can now carry on with the divorce on an undefended basis. Apply for the decree nisi as soon as possible.
