What is the legislation regarding insurance claims for property damage in the UK?
Evening i am trying to understand an insurance claim . I had arson in my property that I rented. The bills come to £130,000 for the repairs . Landlord Insurance has granted liability but it only will pay the property valuation I done 5 years ago. 105k. The insurance have ask me to pay the difference but In the last 5 years the insurance never has ask me on the renewal if the valuation of the house had change. I don’t have this kind of money I the only way is to ask for a loan (Which I rather not ) Advise on what’s the legislation or if anyone has being on similar situation will be much appreciated.
