Who is the legal next of kin for a person who has passed away and was going through a divorce that wasn't finalised?
Good morning, advice needed please. My brother passed away recently, he was going through a nasty divorce, which wasn’t finalised. The house was sold prior to his death, therefore he has no assets My question is… Who will his legal next of kin be? In my opinion, it would be his estranged wife, so I’ve asked her to inform ‘Tell Us Once’ and now she’s telling me ‘I’m not his legal next of kin’ Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks
