Will my partner's case be adjourned if his new solicitor hasn't had time to prepare?
My partner is in court tomorrow for trial, hes changed his solicitor 2 weeks ago after a relationship breakdown with his old one, my question is his new solicitor hasnt had chance to get anything for his case because his old solicitor only just signed the tranfer on friday- will he end up with no legal representation or can we ask for it to be adjourned untill shes had chance to even look at the case?

NQ, until full transfer is done of the case, the 1st solicitor is still legally binded to represent the client. If transfer of case is completed in time, and the new solicitor hasn't had enough time in knowing the details of the case, they can request to reschedule, but depending on the case, it is possible for reschedule to be refused.
