1. Tell us what you need. Our Legal Assessment team will ask a few simple questions to understand your legal issue.
2. Get your fixed-fee quote. We’ll create a personalised plan with a transparent fixed fee. There’s no pressure to go ahead.
3. Confirm and get started. If you’re happy to proceed, you can pay securely online.
4. Complete onboarding. You’ll go through ID checks and sign our Client Care Letter and Terms of Business.
5. Meet your lawyer. Within two working days, we’ll match you with an experienced lawyer who’s the right fit for your case.
6. Your lawyer handles the work. They’ll take care of everything included in your quote and keep you informed as things progress.
7. If anything extra comes up, you’ll know first. Your lawyer will explain what’s needed and share a clear follow-up quote before moving ahead.
Once your matter is resolved, we’ll close your case and confirm everything in writing.

Do I need a lawyer?

Not every legal issue needs a lawyer - it depends on the complexity of your situation.
During your assessment, we will look at the details and tell you plainly whether legal support is necessary. If you don’t need a lawyer, we’ll say so.

How and when do I pay my lawyer’s fee?

You can pay securely on our website using a credit or debit card. Your payment covers everything set out in your fixed-fee quote.
If anything extra is needed, your lawyer will explain this clearly and share a new quote.
You’ll never be charged for anything without being told first.

Some of our lawyers offer conditional fee agreements (often called “no win, no fee”), where you only pay their fee if your case is successful.
These matters are handled by Lawhive Legal Ltd, our fully SRA-regulated law firm, so everything follows the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s rules.

Once your lawyer is assigned, they’ll explain exactly what they need from you - whether that’s documents, background information or evidence. You’ll be able to share everything securely online and stay in touch with your lawyer throughout.
