Arif Anwar

Arif Anwar is a solicitor with over a decade of experience in civil, commercial, and immigration law, both in the UK and abroad. He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2025, having previously been called to the Bar of England and Wales by Lincoln’s Inn in 2015 and admitted as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

Arif’s practice spans immigration, landlord and tenant disputes, commercial conveyancing, civil litigation, Family Law, Personal Injury and negligence claims. He has represented clients before the Immigration Tribunal and the County Court, prepared and managed complex case bundles, and advised on strategy across contentious and non-contentious matters. Alongside this, he has developed expertise in wills, probate, and contentious probate through his work with Setfords Solicitors.

Earlier in his career, Arif practised extensively in Bangladesh, focusing on litigation and client advisory support, particularly in constitutional, corporate, banking, and property law. During this time, he was also involved in both national and international commercial arbitration and mediation, broadening his dispute resolution expertise. He has also held academic roles, including Assistant Professor of Law at Leading University, Sylhet.
