Biography

In my almost 22 years, as a Family Lawyer I would say the most rewarding aspect of what I do is build relationships with my clients and help them to successfully move on with their lives without all of the drama.

I meet clients at what is probably the worst time of their lives when they are often angry, confused and very distressed. However, the transformation I see in my clients at the end of the divorce process is the reason why I am truly passionate about what I do.

I know first hand that the fact you are divorced does not mean you are a failure. On the contrary , it would be a tragedy to remain in a marriage, or relationship where you are clearly no longer happy.

My aim is not to ‘add to’ your problems, but rather eliminate some of the burden and worry.

I can do all of the following for you: –

(1) Provide a first-class/tailored service built around you, taking into account your circumstances;

(2) Assist you in resolving your problems in the most amicable and cost effective way;

(3) Identify your goals from the outset and provide you with clear, straightforward advice;

(4) Work with you to find solutions to secure you a happier future.

Experience Highlights :

Skilfully advising and negotiating financial settlements to avoid costly court battles.Securing a significant lump sum for a wife in a childless marriage of only four months where the parties were both working full-time earning similar incomes and had no joint assets.

Securing a significant lump sum for a surviving spouse whose husband had secretly transferred his sole ownership in the former matrimonial home to his daughter from a previous marriage and made no provisions for her in his Will

Securing a pre-marital asset and chargeable interest in the former matrimonial home on a clean break basis for a husband in a lengthy marriage with three dependent children

Securing an Order for sale, reimbursement of mortgage interest and capital payments made over a period of more than 10 years, as well, as a significant cost order for a client in a Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees case

Acting in high court proceedings in relation to children matters where a child has been made a ward of the court and/or is at threat of abduction
Representing a mother in a leave to permanently remove case where after meticulous cross-examination of the father, leave was granted contrary to the clear recommendation of the CAFCASS Officer to refuse mother’s application
